About Tulip
This book does not tell a new story, but will offer a very important glimpse into how generations of women in my family experienced rape, humiliation, discrimination, isolation, pain, poverty, love, happiness, joy, and acceptance.
The early abandonment of love as well as the early introduction of unwanted sex by force (presented as caring) set up the cycle of giving our precious bodies so freely to who ever shown us an ounce of care. Some of the facts in this book are based on true events experienced by Grandmother Mabel Smith, whom this book is dedicated. Born in 1910, (died 2006, age 96) my grandmother found herself alone at the age of 12. No mother, no father, no family, no home, she seeks out on her looking for someone to love her, a family. What she endured, survived , and what she had to overcame will make you cried, reflect on your life, smile and maybe even began to stop your family cycle.
Because of what my grandmother experienced, our family of women are evolving , but it is taken a lot of suffering, pain, and heartache to break this cycle. My hope is that this book will not only help my family, but yours as well. It is truly a “Love Story.”
“A gripping love story with a passionate brutal heart-stopping twist!.”
